Saint Ambroix
is a village whose medieval quarters remind of a rich historical past.  It is also well known for its legend of the "volo biou" (the flying ox)  which is celebrated each year during July.

Situated in the triangle  Cévennes-Ardèche-Provence, it enables visitors to discover exceptional beauty spots at more or less an hour away: the Pont du Gard, the Camargue, the  Parc National des Cévennes the Pont d'Arc in the Ardéche
     

 

 The river Cèze has its source in the Cévennes, flows through a land rich in gold, silk and mineral mines and tumbles down through narrow gorges overlooked by villages, and finally joins the Rhône in an area full of Roman remains. All types of  activities and entertainments are proposed ............
